Let It Snow: The Patron of Pigs
Synopsis:
An ill-timed storm on Christmas Eve buries the residents of Gracetown under multiple feet of snow and causes quite a bit of chaos. One brave soul ventures out into the storm from her stranded train and sets off a chain of events that will change quite a few lives. Over the next three days one girl takes a risky shortcut with an adorable stranger, three friends set out to win a race to the Waffle House (and the hash brown spoils), and the fate of a teacup pig falls into the hands of a lovesick barista.
A trio of today's bestselling authors John Green, Maureen Johnson, and Lauren Myracle brings all the magic of the holidays to life in three hilarious and charming interconnected tales of love, romance, and kisses that will steal your breath away.
The book I'm reading is Let It Snow, three holiday romances. There are three parts in this book by three different authors, Maureen Johnson, John Green, and Lauren Myracle. Finally, I am on the third part of the book!! I'm not quite done, but I'm getting there (just a couple chapters more to go!!). The third romance of the book, The Patron Saint of Pigs, is quite longer than the first two romances. The first two parts of the book was really nice. I highly recommend that you read it. Last week, I started reading, The Patron Saint of Pigs. This third romance is about a brokenhearted, selfish-like girl named Addie. Her ex-boyfriend Jeb broke up with her because she made a mistake, an unforgivable one. That mistake caused a break-up to occur a day before Christmas Eve and also their anniversary. The story actually begins when she starts her morning shift at Starbucks. Throughout the day, her mind was filled with her boyfriend (ex actually) and this wise old lady named Mayzie.
The Patron Saint of Pigs made me realize that I should't let go of the person I love. I also learned that I should fight for the love of my life instead of being self-centered, idiotic girl, Addie. A new vocabulary word I learned would be nomadic. Nomadic is a person with no permanent home. The usage of this vocabulary in the book goes, "I sat on the edge of my bed and pretended to be a nomadic desert wanderer..." Another word I learned was guffawed. Guffaw means to laugh in a loud boisterous way. In the book guffawed was used, "... and John Number Three guffawed."
